Phuket

If you are flying into Thailand, you will most likely be landing in Phuket first. Seeing as it is the main city to welcome tourists into the country, and the perfect place for your first stop in Thailand. Despite it is being within the mainland area of Thailand, it is known as the gateway to the countless islands to hop to next. The city is a tourist hub, with streets lined with bars, beaches crowded with lounge chairs, as well as advertisements and local sellers calling out to you with every step you take. If you are interested in a soothing and calm break in Thailand, it’s best if you head straight out to the islands. But if you are keen for a night or two partying it up, Phuket is the way to go. Backpackers rule the area, with countless party events and all-night clubs on offer.
